What it does
PowerPoint remembers whether drawing guides are on for the whole app, not for each deck. Once guides have been switched on, they come back on every slide of every deck you open. KPT Guides Off quietly switches them off when PowerPoint starts and whenever a deck is created or opened.
There is no tab and nothing to click: install it and it is on. You can still turn guides on whenever you want them; they simply stop following you into the next deck. Smart Guides, the alignment hints while you drag, are never touched.
